On The Wings Of Horses

CURRENT STUDENTS

The children currently involved in the OTWOH program are healthy, happy, and motivated to succeed. Parents and family members have noticed an improvement in attitude and behavior as well as academic performance.
WHERE DO I COME IN?

By helping On The Wings Of Horses, you're helping develop the adults of tomorrow. Horsemanship teaches responsibility, humility, and respect, and no child should miss out on this opportunity due to disability or financial constraints.
BENEFITS

THE FACTS

Research shows that children who are involved in extracurricular activities have a heightened sense of self-esteem, a positive attitude about learning, increased motivation, and a lower risk of drug and alcohol abuse.

WHY RIDING?

Children involved in sports do better in school, make more friends and become more active in their families, and those involved in horseback riding have improved muscle tone and coordination, strength and postural control, self control and self confidence.
WHAT ABOUT DISABLED CHILDREN?

Children with mental or physical disabilities are eligible to be a part of On The Wings Of Horses. In many cases, children who are not able to excel at other sports can become successful riders.

ATMOSPHERE

On The Wings Of Horses is hosted by DeLima Stables and run by Mary DeLima. Here, children are expected to treat each other and their horses with kindness and respect. We believe in teaching by example, and children are encouraged to do their best in all areas of life.
